But if Apple was so dependent on his singular personality and vision, how were they able to not just survive his loss, but thrive? Fast Company went looking and found that despite all the legendary—and true—tales of his intensity, underneath it all there was a driven but entirely human Steve, who had grown to become a caring, nurturing leader (and parent, and husband).
We approached The Heads of State looking for a warmer, more organic, evolutional take on creativity. They responded with simple geometries, a color spectrum referencing the old Apple branding, and conceptual touches so gentle they were almost evanescent.
